Energy conservation is the effort made to reduce the consumption of energy by using less of an energy service. This can be achieved either by using energy more efficiently (using less energy for a constant service) or by reducing the amount of service used.

Saptagir considers that energy conservation is a key factor which benefits the organization in the long run towards the energy management. Energy conservation mechanisms not only reduce the energy load, but also reduce the pollutants, GHG emissions into the environment.

Measures towards Energy Conservation:

• SCPL's operations are largely powered by wind energy reflecting SCPL's commitment to a net-zero carbon world.
• Usage of bio fuel (ground nut husk) for boiler reduces the emissions of green house gases, pollutants and also requires comparatively less energy than coal fired boilers & hot oil furnace boilers.
• VFDs are provided on the motors, pumps and on various other equipments / devices.
• Replacing the traditional lightings with LEDs.
• Introduction of efficient class motors, energy efficient devices etc in all new requirements.
• Higher and optimized production to reduce consumption of water, steam and power etc.
